One of the discussions about the aging population is related to the increase of the quality of life of the elderly. Scientific studies claim that lifelong learning and digital technologies contribute to the active and healthy aging process. However, the interaction of older people with new technologies can be frustrating if they are not designed to meet the specific needs of this audience. Good participatory design practices can contribute to understanding these needs. The objective of this article is to identify in the scientific literature the application of participatory design with elderly in the educational context. For this, a systematic mapping was carried out, whose initial results indicated the existence of few works on the subject. Resumo. Uma das discussões sobre o envelhecimento populacional está relacionada ao aumento da qualidade de vida dos idosos. Estudos científicos afirmam que a aprendizagem ao longo da vida e as tecnologias digitais contribuem para o processo de envelhecimento ativo e saudável. Contudo, a interação dos idosos com as novas tecnologias pode ser frustrante se elas não forem projetadas para atender às necessidades específicas desse público. As boas práticas de design participativo podem contribuir no entendimento dessas necessidades.
