Data Structures (DS) corresponds to a classical subject in Computer Science courses and related areas. It is possible to find several works which focus is on developing approaches to support DS teaching with computing resources such as videos, games, computational tools, among others. However, there are few studies in the literature that describe the amount of papers produced about this area, as well as where this stuff comes from, or which type of approach has been more explored by researchers. In this context, this paper consists in a Systematic Mapping (SM) that aim to catalog, identify and make a classification on DS teaching. Some interesting results obtained from this SM are: i) there are few studies that evaluate DS teaching approaches; ii) the number of publications about this subject over the years is low, but stable; among others.
