Jacques Le Goff – considerações sobre contribuição para a teoria da história (Jacques Le Goff – considerations on the contribution to the theory of history)

Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar e discorrer sobre as principais contribuicoes do historiador frances Jacques Le Goff, enfatizando sua contribuicao para a historiografia, no sentido mais restrito – aqui considerada o campo mais amplo da Teoria e Metodologia da Historia – assim como para a historiografia medievalista. Faz-se aqui, tambem, uma recuperacao dos dados de sua trajetoria biografica, no sentido de melhor contextualizar a sua contribuicao para a teoria da historia, atraves de sua lideranca do grupo conhecido como Nouvelle Histoire . Abstract This article aims to analyze and discuss the main contributions of the French historian Jacques Le Goff, emphasizing his contributions to Historiography – here considered the broader field of the Theory and Methodology of History. An evaluation of his contribution to the medievalist historiography and data from his biography will also be undertaken in order to better contextualize the contribution Le Goff made to the theory of history through his leadership of the group known as Nouvelle Histoire .
