Furthermore, the excellent resolution of OCT imaging makes it possible to visualise plaque characteristics only reported by histopathological studies in vivo [3]. Therefore, the aim of our review was to describe the current status of coronary intravascular OCT imaging with particular emphasis on acute MI patients. Has the prime time for routine OCT imaging to guide effectively primary PCI arrived yet?
