Nossa língua portuglesa: mil faces de uma ideologia

This article summarizes the content of a MA dissertation which has investigated the phenomenon of the Portuguese-English mixing, in the life environment of university students in the city of Sao Paulo, in the last decades of the twentieth century. The following aspects were specifically investigated: which factors contribute to such mixing, up to what extent it occurs, what possible ideology underlies it, and which consequences from such phenomenon can be identified so far.
