Teacher Opinions About Evaluation of 6th Grade English Lesson Curriculum in Primary Schools

The aim of this research is to determine the difficulties during the application of English lesson curriculum at 6th grades of primary schools. Being a qualitative research, this research was designed with single-case type of the case study. The study group consisted of 13 teachers working at 11 primary schools in Eskisehir centrum. Criterion sampling technique, one of the purposive sampling techniques, was used. The data was obtained by interview technique. Descriptive Analysis was used in analyzing the data. Data obtained by interview forms were coded, and particularly analyzed. Some important findings of the study are as follows: 6th grades syllabus’ level is found to be above the level of the students; subjects of the syllabus are intensive, difficult and too much; there are some subjects not being associated with each other. Besides, the time is too limited to cover the subjects.
