The methods of mapping forest sites from air photographs described in a previous article have been applied to the Pas Working Circle in Saskatchewan and to two areas in Quebec, one near Notakim depot, and the other the Lake Edward Forest Experimental Area.In mapping the sites of the Pas Working Circle post-glacial geology largely determined the site divisions. Six sites were described and mapped on an area of 900 square miles. Increment data obtained subsequently showed that a correlation existed between diameter growth and the three site divisions represented in it.A short description of methods applicable to the Notakim Depot and Lake Edward areas is given to show the adaption of the general methods to these particular cases which are representative of large areas in Quebec and New Brunswick.
