The paper describes echocardiographic values of systolic and diastolic dysfunction the right heart ventricle in 229 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In patients with severe de-compensation a restrictive type diastolic function is more characteristic - acceleration of early diastolic filling and blood velocity decrease during the auricular systole.
