In this paper we investigate sustainability and ethics as graduate dispositions for students of business in the early 21st century. We base our theoretical position on recent research investigating students’ and lecturers’ conceptions of sustainability and ethics. We apply this to the practical pedagogical problem of helping students to engage with the notions of sustainability and ethics in their business classes. In this, we use our recent experiences with a project investigating the development and embedding of graduate skills in the business curriculum and, more specifically, with a three-day workshop for business students run by our team during the course of this project. We draw conclusions about dispositional learning and suggest practical ways in which this can be advanced.8 page(s
