Acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are caused by a variety of different etiologies. The aim of the current study was to determine the diagnostic biomarkers for verifying the diagnosis of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and predicting the length of hospital stay at elderly patients. The files of 120 patients who had been hospitalized with the diagnose of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease between January 2017 to December 2018 in the Chest Disease Department of Gulhane Education and Training Hospital were examined retrospectively.
