The present article intends to show the sebastianism in Mensagem, by Fernando Pessoa. The poems to be analysed contain many references to D. Sebastiao and the prophets who proclaimed his arrival and the idea of the Fifth Empire. We give emphasis to the poem Nevoeiro, in which the sebastianism is redefined.
