UM OLHAR SOBRE O FEMININO NA DRAMATURGIA BRASILEIRA DO INÍCIO DO SÉCULO XX

Este ensaio visa refletir sobre as producoes teatrais do inicio do seculo XX, no periodo convencionalmente chamado de pre-modernismo, contextualizando esta dramaturgia e procurando entende-la sob a otica da recepcao. Busca-se, tambem, um olhar sobre a mulher que viveu neste periodo: quem era esta mulher; quais eram as suas aspiracoes; quais eram as suas limitacoes; como se articulava o feminino diante das transformacoes que atingiam o Brasil e como estas mudancas influenciavam a mulher aqui analisada. Abstract This essay aims to think about the theater productions in the beginning of twentieth century, in the period usually called pre-modernism, inserting such dramaturgy into a context and trying to understand it under the reception view. Also, it searches a glance at the woman that lived in this time: who such a woman was, which longings and limitations were hers; how she dealt towards the changes that Brazil has passed through and how these changes influenced the woman here analysed.
