Although the suprasegmental level of speech has gained importance among recent scientific research, several problems still seem to render it difficult for the foreign language teacher to prioritize prosody in the L2 curriculum. In this article H-e discuss some of these problems, at the same time as we suggest aspects of prosody to be included in L2 pronunciation syllabuses in universities.
