Boca Juniors in Europe: the daily Critica and the outset of Argentinean sport nationalism Abstract Using articles published in the press, in the city of Buenos Aires, in the year 1925, the author analyses the relation between the Boca Juniors football club and the development of a feeling of identity and national belonging in Argentina.
