MUDANÇAS INDIVIDUAIS E FAMILIARES OCORRIDAS EM PORTADORES DE ARTRITE REUMATÓIDE

This project had as object to check the difficulties found by individuals who suffer from rheumatic arthritis ,the families and individual changes occurred during the illness process and also to explore the knowing and the home caring of the patients with this pathology. This project is one with a exploring and descriptive approach that used interviews as the technique to get information.The information was gotten in the period from October to November of 2000 with the rheumatic patients that had medical help at Hospital Universitario de Maringa (HUM) and also with individuals who were party of the Associacao Maringaense de Artrite Reumatoide (AMAR) program.The results were distributed in three categories: physical changes, social phisycal and families and also into this categories the information were analyzed in small categories. In the physical changes were found the problem, limitation of mobility and edema; into the physical social were observed the impossibility to work, negative personal feelings and the overtaken of difficulties and finally into the family group support and the rejection of the family were found.
