This is a reflective article which approaches the Systematization of Nursing Care as an essential care tool. It considers that the exercise of systematization is already mentally elaborated and that it is developed in nursing praxis; nevertheless it is necessary for the mental register to pass to a documental record which involves accepting a theoretical- practical-methodological approach concerning aspects of being in relation to the knowing-doing of care.
