Due to the ocurrence of cardiovascular dysmetabolic syndrome factors, in 200 adults from a cardiologist office, data from eight measures were evaluated between March andApril/2003 in Passo Fundo Rio Grande do Sul State/Brazil: four measures from dislypidemies, two measures from blood pressure, one from glucose levels and one from corporal mass index. High correlation value (r = 0,891) was observed for LDL cholesterol and distolic blood pressure; significant F values were found for HDL cholesterol and cigarette smoking, distolic blood pressure and stress as well as distolic blood pressure and family history; Fischer X2 was significant for the comparison between sex and glucose levels. From 128 individuals that had all risk factors informed, 3 (2,3 %) were identified as dysmetabolic syndrome carriers and four (3,1%) had no altered measures. In 96,9% there were one to seven altered measures making clear the complexity of the involved factors. This research brings more information about prevention of cardiovascular disease, suggesting use of multidisciplinary educational activities under the supervision of health professionals besides medication.
