Brazil is the third largest producer of maize (Zea mays L.) and it grain is widely used in food and feed in the country. Anthracnose is a disease caused by the fungus Colletotrichum graminicola that affects the plant and causes production losses that can reach high magnitudes, reecting negatively on the economic.
