The theatrical piece of the Historians is an expression of popular culture is assumed by several sectors of the Salvadoran population as their own. It’s not so, dance and theater of the Historians is the story of the Spanish conquerors who transfer their victory in Spain against Muslims so that indigenous peoples to assume that tradition and introduced into her new elements that are proposed by the same Spanish conquistadors, others for indigenous peoples and other by Spanish priests in an effort to use the necessary instruments to evangelize the natives. The oral tradition and the written memory transfer has modified the texts and are now different from the original, the music is not Spanish and yet, the dance has taken as its own.
