This article aims to give a heritage look into rivers San Francisco and St. Augustine, transcending its own significance as "natural resources" of a territory, in this case the city of Bogota (Colombia), which is crossed by its channels east to the West, to be interpreted as elements of historical understanding of the evolution of a region and as axes of the capital evocation of memory. Therefore, research is addressed, first, to develop a theoretical framework based on the notions of cultural and natural heritage and indivisible relations in accordance with the historical trajectory of the rivers. Secondly, it aims to contextualize the reader on the territory of a characterization study using river and its immediate surroundings, and, also, to show the changes in the rivers San Francisco and San Agustin in different periods to finish with a characterization and approximate specialization areas today water bodies are inscribed.
