System transformation calls for new ways of thinking and problem-solving approaches. Therefore, CURAVIVA Switzerland launched its 2030 Residential and Care Model for Elderly People (80+): Care homes are no longer "large buildings", but decentrailized service provider based on a social space concept that enable elderly people reliant on care to continue to live independently in their preferred environment. The model, its dissemination and large scale implementation projects are presented.
