This squib is concerned with the validity of an approach to Gapping that exploits low coordination and ATB-movement (Johnson 2009). In this squib, I show that low coordination combined with ATB-movement has the following problems: (1) ATB-movement is not compatible with the Copy theory of Movement; (2) there is no universal correlation between partial vP/VPtopicalization and Gapping; (3) Gapping is possible in CP coordination, violating the low coordination requirement.
