AV-Portal für wissenschaftliche Filme: Analyse der Nutzerbedarfe

The German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) is developing an innovative AV-Portal which allows web-based access to scientific films. Therefore the TIB would like to transfer existing methods of visual search, visualisation and automatic content analysis into the field of digital libraries. In order to ensure optimum usability of the AV-Portal, the development has been accompanied by user-centred processes. A needs analysis has been carried out and on that basis a low-fidelity prototype was developed and optimised in several iterative design steps.
