This study reports a case of an internal ear infection associated with a concurrent respiratory disease in a 5-year-old Santa Ines sheep. Clinical signs included head tilt, drooped right ear and right side of the mouth, no menace response of the right eye, paresis in the right eye, accumulation of food on the right side of the mouth, abnormal breathing patterns, and hypophonesis in the respiratory auscultation. Results show the need for greater attention to the physical examination of patients with respiratory disorders due to the possibility of secondary ear infections; such an examination would avoid neurological impairment. Further research on this subject would also contribute to the development of effective treatment.
