Pathology has normally been a field that has not been recently represented well in the medical curriculum. A pathologist is extremely involved in patient care despite not seeing patients. Laboratory and diagnostic testing is the future for healthcare and pathologists should be the gatekeepers of this information. I describe my experience as a medical student on my journey to my genuine interest in the field of pathology.
