Child and adolescent mental health attention is a main health problem. Clinical psychology is an important discipline in mental health of child and young people. The aim of this study is to describe some features of the psychological care in child and adolescent mental health of the public Spanish heath system. Therefore, we have conducted a survey on 141 clinical psychologists who are working with children in mental health in Spain. The results show the fundamental role performed by Clinical Psychology in mental health care, including serious mental disorders in children and adolescents. 97p of professionals who fill the questionnaire judged as very important the creation of the Child and Adolescent Psychology Speciality.
