A case of psychological inflexibility in a pregnant woman treated following the acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) model is reported. The ACT and the most common psychological problems that may occur during pregnancy are first reviewed. Patient data and history are then reported. The functional analysis of the case is subsequently described, followed by the treatment ordered by sessions. The results found include improvements in measurements of anxiety and experiential avoidance and in her committed actions. The results of the case and the study contributions and limitations are finally discussed.
