This article presents Sara ́s case, a woman in her thirties with feeding control problems combined with a diagnosis of Irritable bowel syndrome. Both problems originate in her childhood, and throughout the years, she has been bearing up her situation through different stages of exacerbation and improvement. Currently, these problems have got worse due to her disorganized lifestyle, which prompted her to look for help. The key to this case was the need to adjust the intervention both to her disorganized lifestyle and to the constraints of her illness. The main objective was to regularize Sara ́s feeding behaviour and maximize the adaptation to the circumstances in her life. In order to achieve this goal, we tried to develop a set of self-control strategies that she could adapt and apply in a flexible way.
