The article presents the setting out of an innovative step for teaching Psychoanalytic Therapy at the university. Based on the Modular-Transformational Approach, a structured strategy is offered in order to approach the patient with a double target: first, to serve as a guide for supervised practices of post graduate students, and, second, to facilitate research through systematization. In order to achieve this, the article presents four organized steps: an interview to collect information; an analysis of the recorded interview; a conceptualization, in psychoanalytic terms, of the data gathered through the previous steps; and, finally, a report of the whole process, both determining therapeutic objectives and proposing a plan to reach them. The article is completed with a case that illustrates the process.
