The cleaning, conservation and maintenance of the stone surface of the Serranos Towers has also taken into account the sculpted figures that decorate this austere Valencian Gothic monument. It was an opportunity to discover new historic and technical data about the few remains of the original ornamentation and of the many replications made in the early 20th century: the original designs, the restoration grafts, the substitutions, the finishes... The article presents a detailed description of the preliminary studies and the work performed on these sculptural pieces
