espanolDurante la ultima decada, se dio un gran incremento de conflictos socio ambientales como producto de la manifestacion de diversas organizaciones defensoras de la tierra y los pueblos indigenas en contra de las politicas neoliberales implantadas por los gobiernos en America Latina. Lo cual nos ha mostrado las grandes contradicciones de nuestra legislacion ambiental y de proteccion hacia los derechos fundamentales de las poblaciones vulnerables. La controversia surgida en torno a la libertad de ejercer la defensa de derechos humanos al presenciar o ser afectado directamente por algun grado de impacto ambiental, ha sido el punto de partida para despertar la conciencia de la poblacion y las autoridades del Peru y America Latina para trabajar en conjunto y alcanzar la meta de lograr un marco normativo que garantice la proteccion del medio ambiente y de quienes luchan por esta causa. EnglishDuring last decade, there has been a great increase in socio-environmental conflicts as a result of the manifestations of various organizations defending the land and indigenous people against neoliberal policies implemented by governments in Latin America. Which has shown us the great contradictions of our environmental and protection legislation towards the fundamental rights of vulnerable populations. The controversy of freedom to exercise the defense of human rights by witnessing or being directly affected by some degree of environmental impact, has been the starting point to awaken the conscience of the population and the authorities of Peru and Latin America to work together and achieve the goal of achieving a regulatory framework the guarantees the protection of the environment and those who fight for this cause.
