The present work aims to present the importance of continuing education of the specialist teacher in Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), today, as the path taken by the teaching professional is, the constant improvement, the search for new studies and research on the subject , in order to contribute to the improvement of specialized educational assistance to students, as well as to inform teachers, health professionals and family members of people with autism spectrum disorder. Thus, considering that we are beings in constant development, individuals with autism spectrum disorder can also develop in order to have a productive functional life and live in a context in which family, school, professional, and social life are listed, facts that diverge from outdated concepts of education. Thus, the continuing education of the specialist teacher plays an extremely important role in the training and specialization of this professional.
