Psychotherapy in patients suffering from the Asperger’s syndrome with respect to context blindness Caetextia or context blindness may account for the majority of symptoms encountered in Asperger’s syndrome patients. The prerequisite for being able to read the context is to be capable of both: attaching our attention to and detaching it from various interacting variables. This refers to a dynamic sen sorial integration process. Yet the deficits and strategies developed by these subjects do differ depending on whether it is the right hemisphere that is more dominant or the left one. The detection of this disability as well as the therapeutic approaches must thus be adapted to this dimension of the dis order. Based on the testimony of two subjects suffering from the Asperger’s syndrome, we shall attempt to interpret the differences and design a specific therapeutic plan.
