Sauna-goers live longer! Sudden cardiac death (SCD) and death from cardio vascular disease are the most frequent causes of death in the general population. A new Finnish longterm study demonstrates that regular sauna bathing significantly re duces cardiovascular mortality – the more frequent and longer the more the benefit. This new insight creates new opportunities for primary prevention of SCD and cardiovascular death.
