The antiplatelet agents are prescribed in acute coronary syndromes, peripheric arterial diseases, MI, and noncardioembolic stroke to decrease the atherosclerotic events and often used with proton pump inhibitors. Current studies have demonstrated considerable interaction between clopidogrel and proton pump inhibitors. PPI can lessen the effect of clopidogrel owing to the elimination of the both drugs with the cytochrom P450 isoenzymes in Liver.
