Mucosal healing is one of the main aims of therapy in Crohn’s disease. Although, mucosal healing with Azathioprine has been reported in some studies before with low rates, anti- tumor necrosis factor (TNF) antibodies are more commonly associated with mucosal healing. However, it is clear that anti-TNF antibodies are more expensive with more common adverse events and with the lack of long term results. Herein we will report endoscopic and mucosal healing in 2 years period with Azathiopurine treatment in a young patient with Crohn’s disease.
