Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of the number and timing of antenatal visits on the maternal-perinatal outcomes and related factors in a relatively low socio-economic population. Material and Method: A cross-sectional examination was made of 479 pregnant women. The antenatal records were examined. Pregnant women were divided into two groups according to first time of visit (whether in the first trimester or not), into two groups based on the number of visits (4), and into two groups, based on the presence or absence of anemia. The socio-economic status, demographic features, educational level, systemic disease, iron intake, and outcomes were compared using Mann Whitney and Chi Square tests.
