Currently, alternative materials are sought from Portland cement (PC) because it has a productive process with high CO2 emission to the environment. One of these materials is supersulfated cement (SSC), which, in addition to the environmental advantages, has high compressive strength, low heat of hydration and good durability in aggressive environments. Due to the importance of studying the durability of new materials, this work aimed to compare the SSC behavior in relation to PC against sodium sulfate attack. The results showed adequate behavior of the SSC, both in relation to the resistance and the dimensional variation.
