Osteoporosis is one of the most important health-related problems in today’s world that it is increasing in incidence specifically after\udmenopause in women. Various risk factors including genetic characteristics, Vitamin D deficiency, insufficient calcium intake, sedentary\udlifestyle and late menarche enable osteoporosis to be contained in terms of its progress and to be treated. The consumption of green tea is\udone of the non-pharmacological methods utilized in the prevention of osteoporosis in recent years. Studies conducted abroad with relation\udto this subject identified that the consumption of green tea is effective in the regulation of bone density and the protection of bone health.\udHowever, this finding lacks sufficient data at the national scale. The present review will provide healthcare professionals information on the\udnecessity for the consumption of green tea in the prevention of osteoporosis in women.
