The design of a new generation of models dedicated to forest ecosystems is required to simulate the effects of global changes. Our modelling tools are introduced to bridge the gap between dendrometric, ecophysiological and biogeochemical models. The modelling of foliage renewal dynamics and of soil organic matter decomposition makes it possible to integrate water and biogeochemical cycles into dendrometric models.
