Objective. Evaluate the effectiveness of Vestibular Rehabilitation (VR) in postural balance recovery after a stroke. Method. A study of cases has been made with five patients of both sexes, aged between 30 and 70 years, with hemiparesis on the right or left side after a stroke. The subjects were evaluated at the beginning and end of treatment through the following assessment methods: Modification of Rankin Scale (MRS), Motor Sensitive Quotient (QSM), Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Tinetti Balance and Mobility Scale (TBMS), Stroke Specific Quality of life scale (SS- QOL) and Brasilian version of the Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI). The treatment protocol was based on Cawthorne and Cooksey’s VR, held twice weekly, lasting 50 minutes, with a total of 12 sessions for each individual. Results.
