Erratum: Fitting a $C^m$-smooth function to data II

A few small changes have to be made to the proof of Lemma 3 in Section 30, pages 139–140. The definition of P ′ t in (52) in page 139 should include a factor of λ−‖γt‖. That is, the correct definition should be (52) P ′ t = (α′t)! (α′t + γt)! λ−‖γt‖xγt 0 P̄αt . Furthermore, we need to replace λ‖β‖ by λ‖β+γt‖ in (54), we need to replace λ‖α ′ s‖ by λ‖α ′ s+γs‖ in the definition of the matrix A and also in (57), and we need to replace λ‖α ′ t‖ by λ‖α ′ t+γt‖ in (58) and (59). The rest of the proof stays intact.
