This new lithostratipgraphy was applied to a sub-set of the drillings in the database. Working from largescale interpreted profiles, showing the general structure of the geology (see figure 1), to regional cross-profiles and the finally to local profiles and interpretations ensured a consistent dataset of some 14,000 drilling records that were labeled with the new lithostratigraphic classifications. This forms the basis for the subsequent modeling phase.
