The process of case finding among the permanent residents of NIHS FPA can be divided into three phases. In the initial phase, the first case was identified on 16 March 2020. The patient had been working in a private hospital in Colombo and did not have any contacts for whom the exposure could be traced in the NIHS FPA. From this patient, the number of confirmed cases increased considerably. Summary
