In recent decades there has been a growing body of research related to the theme of Surface Design. There is a variety of issues relating to projecting surfaces ranging from graphical to structural requirements. However, the relationship between user and product needs to be investigated. With the increasing dissemination of technology and design today, research gaps that can relate the product planning with other purposes in favor of society are opened up. Thus, the study aimed to develop a project of social interactivity that would bring together technology, design and public spaces in order to make them participatory. Thus, not only the projective aspects were considered, but, together with them, also technology, architecture and historical facts. The analysis included responses by 50 participants who dealt with the PROCOPI (Projeto Conheca Pirajui) project. The results indicated that the objectives achieved may be used for future improvements or adoption in similar projects. Keywords: surface design, social interactivity, participatory spaces.
