The present work intends to understand the economical dynamic of Indigenous towns, as an alternative in the great network of the social and solidary economy which is being built in Latin America, with different nuances in each one of the States. In this case, it is an interpretation of the New Plurinational State of Bolivia. It is an exercise of analysis of the communitarian economy of reciprocity, based on the gift’s concept. Paradigmatically, it takes Dominique Temple’s theoretical reference and then Alain Caille and Jacques Godbout, who have developed, in the last years, a new epistemological slope. This study includes filed research in Viacha and other areas of the department of La Paz. Key words: economy of reciprocity, economy of gift, reciprocity and redistribution.
