This paper discusses the contributions neuroscience can make to establish the epistemic foundations of neuroethics. Starting with the association of different kinds of memory with kinds of knowledge, it analyses moral knowing-how in non-propositional terms and develops a new moral epistemology, namely practical cognitivism. Such approach is then used to establish the normative bases of both bioethics and neuroethics contributing to a new emerging field: neurobioethics. Keywords : meta-ethics, moral epistemology, cognitivism, neurobioethics.
