Ética de la computación: principios de funcionalidad y diseño

Computer ethics is necessary and unavoidable in order to guarantee the ethical, democratic and participative design of computational technologies and of the informational society, which is increasingly present in our world. A detailed study of the particular features and possibilities of these technologies is needed in order to justify the uniqueness of computer ethics and define its ethical and moral principles. This paper presents such principles enhancing their role on constructive technological assessment and defending their uniqueness in contrast with other ethical proposals. I contend that these principles are unique for computational technologies but can be articulated with, and justified by, those proposed by macroethical frames such as Information Ethics or the Theory of Justice.
