We present research on a variety of superconducting and magnetic materials probed by magnetic force microscopy (MFM). We show how the magnetic penetration depth is connected with superconducting parameters and is applied to reveal intrinsic and extrinsic superconducting properties in multiband superconductors. We also exhibit an investigation of magnetic domains by MFM under magnetic field and temperature, showing distinguished results from bulk magnetization measurements. We also demonstrate that MFM can control and manipulate an individual domain via an MFM tip. This result provides an application potential for the magnet device community. MFM will be an essential tool for strongly correlated electron systems as a precise quantification tool with high accuracy.
