Recently, perovskite solar cells have attracted much attention because of their having low fabrication cost and high powerconversion efficiencies comparable to those of Si solar cells. Here, we explain the basic characteristics of organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells and review important improvements in developing these solar cells. In addition, we discuss problems in the commercialization of and the future prospect for perovskite solar cells.
